Cause analysis of crack in air compressor of wet sand blasting machine
Wet sandblasting machine is a sandblasting abrasive (such as brown corundum, glass beads, etc.) and liquid (water) as the medium, with compressed air (air compressor) as the power of the solid workpiece surface spraying sand blasting machine. Wet sand blasting machine is a machine that uses air compressor to compress air as power, forms high-speed jet beam, and sprits materials to the surface of the workpiece to be treated at high speed, so as to change the mechanical properties of the surface surface of the workpiece. From the definition of the wet sandblasting machine above, we know how important air compression equipment is to the sandblasting machine.

The common failure of the air compressor of the wet sandblasting machine is the crack.
The common reasons for cracks in the air compressor of wet sand blasting machine are as follows:
(1) The cooling water in the cylinder head of the engine cylinder block is frozen because it is not discharged in time after shutdown in winter;
(2) Due to the internal stress generated in the casting process, it gradually expands significantly after vibration in the process of use;
(3) It is caused by a mechanical accident, such as a piston breaking, a connecting rod screw breaking, causing the connecting rod to break and fall off, or a counterbalance iron on the crankshaft flying out and damaging the engine block or parts in the air blades falling off and damaging the cylinder head.
What is the commonly used method to detect the crack of air compressor equipment? This is to increase the cooling water pressure.
In factories with good equipment conditions, water pressure checks are carried out on hydraulic presses. In units with poor equipment condition, some sandblasters are modified into simple units with common water pressure pumps. Check, should block the engine block or cylinder head of the water pipe joint, and only one water pipe joint and pump outlet with rubber pipe connection. The plane of the engine body shall be equipped with special cover plate of the same size to prevent the overflow of cooling water. Then, turn on the switch and press the pump so that the water enters the cooling jacket. When the switch leaves the water, turn off the switch and continue to press the pump. Stop the water supply when the pressure gauge pointer reaches 3-4 atmospheres. At this point, you can carefully check the valve body and cylinder head above, below, inside and outside for water leakage or seepage.
